After the downtime, xbox.com is back online with a few new features, the main feature is the ability to read text messages from your browser, all users with a gamertag can take advantage of this new feature. The second feature is the abiltiy to send messages to other users, this ability is limited to gold account members with a few extra rules: such as only 200 messages per day can be sent to your friends (surely no one will normally go over that many text messages in a day) and 25 messages can be sent to non-friends. Normally you would only send messages to non-friends if you wanted to either praise or flame another player that you played an xbox live game with, or maybe you want to send a message to one of the famous people over at the xbox team, major nelson, e, trixie, hiro protagonist, etc.

The other features include the ability to see a slightly new gamercard on your My Xbox page which includes the last 10 games instead of the last 5, it lets you see your recent players list (this would be handy for those 25 messages per day mentioned above). There is also a new quick compare section where you can quickly and easily compare your stats against anyone on your friends list.

Seems like the Xbox team is constantly working to give it's members exactly what they ask for, if you have any suggestions just go over to www.xbox.com and contact the people in charge.
